As entrepreneurs, students will recognize opportunities, generate ideas, and organize resources to plan successful ventures, including preparing a business plan. They will develop the values, traits, and skills most often associated with successful entrepreneurs. |

Students will develop financial analysis and decision-making skills by learning fundamental accounting principles and working through the accounting cycle. Highlights also include the use of today's more popular accounting software programs and ethics in accounting. |

Students will explore the economic relationships that Canada has developed with other nations, and the impact of these relationships on productivity, prices, and variety of goods. Career opportunities in the area of international business are also explored. |

Students will analyse the role of a leader in business, with a focus on decision making, management of group dynamics, workplace stress and conflict, motivation of employees, and planning. Effective business communication skills, ethics, and social responsibility are also emphasized. |
